The duration of the regatta has been extended and for the first time it will be the Spanish ORC Cruiser Championship Mediterranean Zone. This great news confirms our Club’s progress and the commitment we are making to top level sporting events by carving out a very important niche for ourselves in the country’s calendar of big competitions.

From 13 to 16 July, our 8th Edition of the Club Náutico Marina Internacional trophy will become the Spanish Cruiser Championship Mediterranean Zone, with three days of competition instead of one. The event also sees the launch of its webpage in which the regatta announcement is now available and where you can register online. You can access the webpage via this link:

“After a number of years holding successful level 2 regattas, with a good number of entries and very positive reviews, we saw that we could offer more, have top level boats participate and make our club known. So we decided to apply for the Spanish Cruiser Championship for this year”, says the club’s President, Antonio Luis Dávalos de Haro. “We hope to attract leading yachtsmen from all over the Autonomous Community of Valencia and believe this regatta may serve as training for the Copa del Rey”, adds Dávalos.

Three days, five events

We hope to have around fifty ORC certified boats participating, which will be divided into the 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4 classes based on their characteristics. A total of five events are planned which will start on Friday afternoon and end on Sunday and will consist of four windward – leeward courses and a coastal regatta.

To encourage boats from outside Torrevieja to enter, our Club is offering free moorage for a week before and a week after the event to allow participants to take advantage of a few days after the regatta to discover all we offer tourists.
